Irresponsible rubbish disposal in St Paul's Bay

I live and care for the area I was born and brought up in and I can speak my mind without fear and favour! I can confirm that yes, (as MP Ċensu Galea wrote) commercial outlets as well as private individuals are equally responsible for the accumulation of rubbish all over our district!

On one particular very windy evening, I was walking along the promenade and noticed one outlet owner taking his rubbish out at 7 p.m. for the following morning's collection, I spoke to the offender, who as I expected did not react and left the rubbish where it was. I drove by a couple of hours later and I noticed that the wind had blown the cardboard and rubbish all over the Bay Square. This is but one of the daily examples!

There are also a substantial number of privates sites where rubbish accumulates including front gardens and terraces, which is the responsibility of the individual owners and not the council.

Over a number of months I kept noticing that there were two front garden terraces situated near the bus station in Qawra full of rubbish and builder's waste. I tried to find out whom they belong to but to no avail. Eventually, I took a couple of photos and wrote to The Times, and the rubbish was moved within hours of the photos being published, although to -date, I am not sure exactly by whom? If we do really care and want a cleaner district, we all have to contribute!
