Video: Portugal 'respects' Malta - Queiroz

Portuguese Coach Queiroz this evening had words of praise for Malta Coach Fitzel’s work these last two years. He told a press conference that Portugal respected Malta in view of its recent results. He said Portugal was also wary of what striker Michael Mifsud did to Manchester United and said Portugal would keep a close eye on the 'Mosquito' during the World Cup qualifier tomorrow.

Nuno Gomes, Portugal's Benfica's striker said that he expected a difficult game since Malta had fast strikers and knew how to defend well.

Meanwhile the Malta U21 Team lost 5-0 to France in the last match of the UEFA Under-21 Champions qualifying round in the Boulogne-en-Mer Stadium. Goals were scored by Remy, Gouffran, Cabaye and Nimani (2).
