The problems being faced at St Paul's Bay (2)
I refer to the letter by Ċensu Galea, MP, regarding rubbish disposal in St Paul's Bay. All that Mr Galea wrote is the plain truth, besides even residents in certain areas dispose of their rubbish as they like.
One particular area is Ramon Perellos Street, corner with Emanuel Pinto Street in St Paul's Bay. Piles of rubbish on the pavement are disposed of there by many residents daily even in the morning soon after rubbish has been collected at 7 a.m.
Talking on the phone and writing letters to the St Paul's Bay local council regarding the smell and mess this rubbish leaves was of no use. The answer is always that they are going to take action but to this day, this never happened.

Some time ago I have made my comments on the damping of rubbish next to the 3 telephone boxes that are present near the 23 new steps bar and Porto Bello restaurant . Irresponsible residents from from flats close by are amongst those who take out the rubbish at any time of the day. Other join from other areas. It is about time that those telephone boxes be removed from there. They are an eyesore besides one of them has been out of order for a long time.
The newly elected council should start doing something . A no entry sign at the entrance of St Luke's road has been missing for long and cars are using the road in both directions.
