Advice to Bangkok visitors

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday advised Maltese nationals in Bangkok or those who intend to travel there to exercise caution, avoiding demonstrations or large gatherings of people.

A state of emergency was declared in Bangkok on Tuesday. Travel to Thailand is being affected by the demonstrations and travel services may be disrupted.

The ministry is recommending that travellers check with their airline before travelling. It also recommends that Maltese nationals monitor developments through the media and follow the ministry's advice.
