88-year-old dies after traffic accident

An 88-year-old woman from Pieta has died after she was hit by a car in Marina Street, Pieta, this evening. The car was being driven by a 46-year-old from Fgura. The accident happened just before 8 p.m., the police said.

An inquiry is being led by Magistrate Michael Mallia.
