A concerted effort was recently made by a team of police officers, local wardens and Mepa inspectors to crack down on litter bugs. Well done! How about the same measure being taken to crack down on emissions from buses, mini buses and taxis that are such a detriment to the health of the community? Or is it a matter of being strong with the weak and weak with the strong? Action please.

What's so special about 1979? I am not sure about this but I think that most buses are equipped with pre-1979 machines. Are the emissions of such machines less cancerous than others?
Body exercise is supposed to be healthy. I think I've inhaled more toxics by cycling from Birzebbuga to Gharghur instead of releasing them.
Sports is closely related to healthy living and this should be enough for the government to understand its importance since maintaining the hospital and all related health institutions is so expensive. All these uncontrollable cancers of which no-one knows the true origin might be the result of lots of small things combined together like emissions, unhealthy food and others. It is unfair on people wishing to live a little healthier by cycling or jogging not having the freedom to do so.

Yes Mr. Ferrante, immediate action should be taken against Local Councils for the introduction of `Skips`.
