NGO representatives cannot be forgotten

Żminijietna - Voice of the Left welcomes the setting up of the government's Climate Change Committee, but to our knowledge, environmental NGOs have not been consulted to nominate representatives on the committee.

Besides, in order to be truly representative, the committee should also include other civil society representatives, for example, from socio-economic sectors, which once again should be nominated by the organisations themselves.

Żminijietna believes that civil society should also be widely represented in other fields such as the Mepa board, in Meusac, and in similar boards and committees.

As regards NGOs, such processes should not only include NGOs which are registered with the state but also other NGOs that actively participate in civil society.
