Tyre made to explode
The tyre of a Toyota Land Cruiser exploded after it was tampered with by an unknown person or persons in Triq il-Belt Valletta, Żurrieq, at 11 a.m. yesterday.
The police went to investigate when someone informed them that thick smoke was coming out from under the parked vehicle.
They found that someone had placed material at the front tyre which caused it to explode.
No other damage was done and no one was injured.
Magistrate Edwina Grima is holding an inquiry. The police are investigating.
