Police seize cocaine, arrest three

A foreigner and three locals have been arrested following two drug finds yielding 200 grams of cocaine, the police said yesterday.

The foreigner, a Nigerian, was arrested on Sunday afternoon after 19 cocaine capsules were found in his hotel room in Buġibba.

The man had arrived from Spain on Saturday and has visited Malta on numerous occasions, the police added.

More cocaine was found in a car later that evening. A 39-year-old man from St Paul's Bay and a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Sta Luċija were arrested in connection with the find.
