St John's foundation appearing isolated (2)
Allow me to make a correction to my opinion piece published in Friday's The Times on the proposed extension to St John's Co-Cathedral Museum, when I inadvertently referred to the tapestries at St John's as being Gobelin. In actual fact they are Flemish.

In actual fact they are Flemish. The Gobelin tapestries are those housed in the Palace.
Allow me also to thank the very many persons who have since Friday stopped me in the street, phoned me and e-mailed me to express their agreement with what I wrote. I am more than gratified to discover that my views are shared by so many.
Finally I cannot but express surprise and disappointment that a worthy gentleman of the cloth took it upon himself to advise Sunday Times readers to wait for the EIA report before making up their minds about the proposed projects. How can an EIA report about how the proposed projects will be affecting the birds, the bees and others ever justify the desecration of a burial place and the excavation of a quarry in the heart of Valletta?
May I suggest that it is more logical to follow the lead of the Church's Kummissjoni Patrimonju Kulturali, which has already assessed the projects and taken a negative stance.
