Chief Justice at small nations conference

Chief Justice Vincent De Gaetano is in St Peter Port, Guernsey, to attend the fifth annual meeting of the Conference of Chief Justices of Small Commonwealth Nations.

The conference brings together the Chief Justices of Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, the Turk and Caicos Islands, Barbados, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Malta to discuss matters of common interest to small Commonwealth jurisdictions.

Among the subjects to be discussed are the relations between the judiciary and the ministries responsible for justice.

During the absence of the Chief Justice, Mr Justice Joseph Filletti is Acting Chief Justice.
