Kayak for Cancer Challenge

The Kayak for Cancer Challenge, organised to raise funds for the Malta Cancer Foundation, generated a total of €32,000.

The challenge saw nine kayakers Dorian Vassallo, Nicky Valenzia, Robert Pullicino, Albert Gambina, Joe Borg, Mark Bugeja, Gregory Camenzuli, Stephen Brincat and Sandra Fsadni leave Marsalforn to paddle 50 nautical miles to Pozzallo, Sicily, accompanied by a flotilla of yachts.

The funds will be used for a new Palliative Care Unit. For the last few months, the participants used their free time to train and prepare for the challenge as well as to collect sponsorships and mount personal fundraising campaigns.
