Gozo Channel ferried more than 114,400 passengers and 27,000 vehicles between Malta and Gozo during Santa Marija week.

August 14 was the busiest day, with 17,755 passengers and 4,050 vehicles crossing either way.

Figures also show that the influx of passengers and vehicles was not restricted due to the feast: the company has seen an increase in passenger and vehicle numbers of more than three per cent and six per cent respectively, over the same period last year. Numbers this year could even surpass last year's record.
