Obituary
ARRIGO. On August 29, at his home in Żejtun, Major JOHN BARTHOLOMEW ARRIGO, aged 90, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Clare, née dei Conti Manduca, his children Pippa, wife of John Mattei and James, husband of Angela, née Preca. Also, his dear grandchildren Emma, Alexander and Julia, his sister Marjorie Morgan of UK, his nephews, nieces, in-laws and other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St Gregory's church, Żejtun, followed by private interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
CREMONA. Surg. Lt. Col. Anthony G. Cremona DDS, RMA rtd, aged 84, widower of Rosemary and son of the late Salvatore and the Noble Beatrice Testaferrata Moroni Viani, passed away peacefully at his residence in Ta' Xbiex comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Kathleen and her husband Wolf Ruediger vom Schloss, Peter and his wife Eva, Jennifer and her husband Peter Zammit, David and Fiona, his grandchildren, Nicola Hannah, Samuel, Andy, Antonio and Daniella, his sister Mary and her husband Cesare Benvenuti, sister-in-law Tessie Azzopardi, Joanna and Benjamin, nephews, nieces, relatives and dear friends. Lord grant him eternal rest. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital on Monday at 9.15 a.m. for the Ta' Xbiex parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
MAGRI. On August 28, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, OLYMPIA, née Azzopardi, aged 95, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Mary, widow of Enrico Tento and Esther, wife of Peter Camilleri, her brother Anthony Azzopardi, her nephews and nieces, her grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at Luqa cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
XUEREB. On August 29, SR ANNE, Sister of St Dorothy, aged 86, sister of the late Mgr Carmelo Xuereb, Vicar General Emeritus, passed away peacefully and went to meet The Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after years of suffering borne with great Christian spirit. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the Congregation of the Sisters of St Dorothy, her niece Olga and her husband Joseph Mifsud, her grand nephews and grand nieces, Mary and Nena Cachia and numerous relatives, friends, teachers and pupils of St Dorothy's. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday at 9 a.m. for St Gregory parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

BRINCAT DUNKERLEY - JESSIE. On the 13th anniversary of her demise. Lovingly remembered by her nephew Josie, his wife Dolores and their children Nadine and Erika. A prayer is solicited.
BUSUTTIL. In loving memory of a dear mother, LYDIA, today being the 12th anniversary of her departure. Today is any other day to most. To us it is the saddest of all. Not a single day without a thought of all the happy memories of us together. We miss you so much, Romina and Tiziana.
CARUANA - JOHN, a loving husband, papa and nannu. Three years have passed since you left us but you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Roads closed in VIttoriosa
Triq Boffa, Triq il-Mina l-Kbira, Misraħ ir-Rebħa, Triq San Filippu, Triq La Valette, Triq is-Sagra Infermerija, Triq Santa Skolastika, Triq H. Tabone, Triq il-Kwartier, Triq Pace Scicluna, Triq Biswit il-Kwartier and Triq il-Palazz ta' l-Isqof will be closed to traffic today from 7 a.m.
Triq N. Laiviera, Misraħ ir-Rebħa, Triq il-Mina l-Kbira and Triq it-Torri ta' San Ġwann will be closed to traffic today from 5 p.m.
Mqabba Sub-Post Office
The sub-post office at Allesio's Old Cottage, 12,Parish Street, Mqabba will be closed for business between September 8 and 15, both days included. During this period, the public may wish to avail itself of the services provided by the Maltapost branch at 218, St Catherine Street, Żurrieq.
Maltapost deliveries
All Maltapost branches will be closed for business as from next Saturday in agreement with the Malta Communications Authority and no mail will be delivered until September 9.
