Defilement charges
A 35-year-old Nigerian national is expected to be arraigned this morning on charges of defiling a 13-year-old girl in a hotel in Qawra. Paul Adeolu was supposed to have been charged yesterday before Magistrate Miriam Hayman.
However, after meeting prosecuting Police Inspector Edmond Cushcieri and defence lawyer Patrick Valentino behind closed doors she decided that Mr Adeolu is to be arraigned this morning before Magistrate Lawrence Quintano, allowing video conferencing to take place.
