Tabsat keep up the pressure

Week six of the Middlesea League at the SuperBowl saw a matching pair of 8-0 victories for leaders Fina First and nearest rivals Tabsat, maintaining the six-point discrepancy between the two top sides.

In other matches, there were 6-2 wins for both Ramis and NINE, against Royal Shock and Active respectively, and the clash between Globalair Travel and Centro Casalinga resulted in a four-all draw.

Tabsat were in great form against an unfortunate Café Ole side, registering the highest team series of the week (2,553) in an 8-0 demolition of their lesser opponents. They went 2-0 up and took a 115-pin series lead with an opening 810-695 win, and then doubled up to 4-0 thanks to a huge 893-774 winner in game two.

The thrashing ended with an 850-757 win for Tabsat to make it 8-0.

Fina kept their title campaign safely on track through week six by also picking up a full-point victory, Turu's Knights finishing on the losing side. The match wasn't like that of Tabsat though, with little separating the two sides over the first two games.

Fina snatched the opener 758-739 before a very tight second game which they took by just six pins (814-808) to go 4-0 ahead. The defending champions continued to step up the pace and took the last of the set with a more open 891-775 scoreline to make sure of all eight points.
