Capsules found in Nigerian’s stomach

A Nigerian passenger who arrived in Malta on a ClickAir flight on Wednesday afternoon had a number of capsules in his stomach, the Customs Department said this morning. The capsules are thought to have contained drugs.

The department said that the Nigerian arrived from Spain and was searched by customs officers after trying to leave through the ‘nothing to declare’ channel. Although nothing was found, the officers remained suspicious and a body search indicated he could be carrying something in his stomach.

Policemen accompanied the passenger to Mater Dei Hospital where an X-Ray confirmed the suspicions.

This was the third discovery of this nature in the past few days.

@ Paul Preston... If the Nigerians have been the drug barons in southern Spain, and three such nationals have been caught importing drugs in as many days.... does this mean they are trying to expand into Malta now and take over from the local barons? How likely is the possibility of a drug territory war?

Oh how I wish Malta was in Saudi Arabia where they behead drug traffickers.

Bring an X-ray machine to the airport. This will deter anyone who knows about this x-ray machine.

The Nigerian's have been the Drug Barons {Amongst other things} down in the South of Spain for many years now ..With Malta now an EU Member these people need to be very closely Monitored !!!!!
