Shots fired at house in Siġġiewi

Someone fired a shotgun at the façade of a house in Lapsi Street, Siġġiewi soon after midnight on Monday night, police sources said yesterday.

Sleeping inside the house at the time of the incident were an elderly woman, her daughter and her daughter's husband. No one was injured.Three shots were fired damaging the glass on the front door and pitting the façade with lead shot.

Three spent cartridges were found on the ground some metres away from the house during investigations, the sources added.

A report was made to the police. Investigations are being led by CID Inspector Silvio Valletta and District Inspector Anthony Cachia.
