Gordon Micallef was recently appointed president of the Isaca Malta Chapter, a non-profit association for IT governance, IT assurance and IT security professionals. The chapter represents a global association having a compliment of over 86,000 members in 160 countries and with 25 chapters in EU member states. The other appointed board members are Eric Muscat, vice-president, Anthony Formosa, secretary, Vladimiro Comodini, treasurer; and Alan Alden, Robert M. Cachia, and Ivan Spiteri, directors.
Isaca (www.isaca.org) is a recognised worldwide leader in IT governance, control, security and assurance. Founded in 1969, Isaca sponsors international conferences, publishes the Information Systems Control Journal, and develops international information systems auditing and control standards.
Mr Micallef recently attended the global leadership conference in Toronto, Canada. For the second consecutive year, the Malta Chapter was awarded the title of best small chapter in the European and African Region. The award was presented to Mr Micallef, on behalf of the chapter, by the international president Lynn Lawton.
