Familiar design on Olympics tower
I watched quite a number of events during the fantastic Olympic Games held in Beijing. Whenever the camera zoomed onto the flame, I watched carefully the design embossed on the curly tower. I kept asking myself: Where have I seen a similar design? Then my great grandfather of 8,000 years ago whispered in my ear.
"We did that at Tarxien Neolithic temples. Ours is more classical."

The curly design that was used extensively in the Beijing Olympics represents clouds as portrayed in Chinese art.
