The professional, financial and services section of the General Workers Union has requested official recognition to represent workers at the Malta Standards Authority (MSA) after the majority of employees joined the GWU, the union said.

The union said that the employees had resigned from another union to join the GWU.

The GWU said it had also requested a meeting with the MSA management and is looking forward to building a sound relationship with the authority.
