Dear Fr Walter, W thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity to work with you for the past twelve years. We have witnessed the dedication with which you have performed your pastoral duties at St Sebastian Parish. Foremost among these we put your continuous counselling not just in the confessional. We have appreciated your work in solving issues that you had inherited as well as those that cropped up during your years among us. But certainly we will remeber you also as the one who fianlly settled the issues regarding the pedestal of the statue, the buying of new sets of bells, the fiishing of the church parvis, and the payment of the debt incurred previously to finish the church. Of course the jewel you have left the parish is the new Parish Pastoral Centre which will remain an everlasting monument to your hard work.
In you we have found not just a priest and a counsellor but also a friend with whom it was a pleasure to work. Of course we will miss you but things have to have their course. We wish you ad multos annos.

I remember Fr Walter Cauchi when he was appointed a priest. He was very young and I was just a child who attended St. Mary old church bkara.

May God be with you Fr Walter and your family especially your dear father.

My wife Amanda and I are very grateful for the hard and fruitful work done by Fr. Walter Cauchi. We are sure that the people of Marsascala will love him, much as the people of Qormi do.
