ETC job fair

Twenty-six local companies took part in a job fair, which was recently organised by the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC). The fair was held with the aim of meeting the needs of local employers.

Held at Robert Samut Hall, Floriana, the fair attracted hundreds of visitors, some of whom were eventually called by companies for a number of interviews.

A mini-job centre was set up by the corporation. ETC employment advisers provided visitors with information on current job vacancies in the local labour market and abroad. Training advisers also briefed participants on the importance of lifelong learning and the wide spectrum of training courses available at the ETC.

The corporation considers private employment agencies as partners in its mission. Misco and People Solutions had stands at the fair and met several people who were interested in vacancies. Mcast also informed participants about the importance of training and re-training.
