The Foundation for Human Resources Development is holding a course in 'Training to be a mentor' on September 1, 2, 3, 9, 11 and 16 at its presmises at 1, Triq il-Kampanella, San Ġwann. The six-session course by Katie Birch will be held between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The course will tackle different approaches to developing people; formal and informal mentoring; learning and motivation; the role of emotional intelligence; practising mentoring skills; and the use of silence and relaxation in mentoring.

The aim is to build knowledge and understanding and practise the skills of a flexible client-centred approach to mentoring in the context of today's organisational cultures.
