Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport Clyde Puli today thanked the Maltese Olympic contingent for their participation in the games.

Mr Puli was witness to William Chetcuti’s failure to qualify for the double trap final, who, nevertheless, achieved the best results Malta has ever gained during the Olympic Games.

The secretariat this afternoon said that Mr Puli’s presence at the games helped encourage the Maltese athletes.

The contingent thanked the Mr Puli for his support.

The Beijing Olympic Games end tomorrow with what is being anticipated as another breathtaking ceremony.
