The Labour Party has launched a public consultation process on changes to its statute and structures.

It said that the party’s general conference will, later this year, be requested to approve important changes to the statute and structures with the aim of the party becoming the most dynamic political organisation in Malta.

The proposed reforms will have to reflect society better. Changes had to show that the MLP was ready to listen, change and implement, the party said. The party wanted to start working efficiently to become the basis of a movement of progressives and moderates, it said.

The party is inviting people to send in their comments, ideas, proposals and thoughts as to how the party’s statute and structures could be strengthened by electronic mail through website www.mlp.org.mt or by traditional mail at Il-Partit Labursta, Leħen il-Poplu, Ċentru Nazzjonali Laburista, Ħamrun.

The party’s statute can be accessed from www.mlp.org.mt
