Universities strengthen links

Prof. Elisabeth J. Harman, vice-chancellor and president of Victoria University in Australia, and University of Malta rector Prof. Juanito Camilleri, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Old University in Valletta. This follows an agreement existing since 1989 between the two universities.

The alliance has included student exchange, faculty teaching exchange, joint sponsorship of professional activities, visiting fellowships, joint research and joint publications. Prof. Henry Frendo, director of the Institute of Maltese Studies at the University of Malta, facilitated the visit by Prof. Harman.
