A South Korean man resident at Msida this morning was accused of the attempted murder of a compatriot who was found suffering serious head injuries yesterday.

Chanwoo Park, 31, denied attempting to kill or seriously injure Hyong Sun Eo. A request for bail was denied.

In a separate case, Libyan Abdul Salam Mahmoud Muhammed Abdullah, 23, a zoo keeper resident in Tripoli, pleaded not guilty to importing heroin and possessing drug in circumstances which denoted it was not for his personal use.

He was also remanded in custody.

The police alleged yesterday that drugs were found in capsules in the man’s stomach.
