David Pullicino has been reconfirmed as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Malta for a further five-year term with effect from September 1, the bank said.

Mr Pullicino has been Deputy Governor since July 1, 1999.

He joined the Central Bank at its inception and has been closely associated with its development over the years, having been involved in most of the operational areas of the bank.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, now known as the Institute of Financial Services.
