HSBC Bank Malta staff members will tomorrow be joining cyclists of the LifeCycle Challenge who have been journeying through Spain to raise funds for renal patients at Mater Dei Hospital.

The LifeCycle team left Malta last week to start their challenge from Lourdes in France.

The HSBC staff will join the LifeCycle team in Gibraltar to cycle the last leg of some 500 km to the finish line in Casablanca, Morocco, on Sunday. "We have trained hard for this challenge and we are now looking forward to putting our strength to the test," said Richard Jones, managing director of HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd.

"The knowledge that our efforts will benefit the quality of life of renal sufferers has been a determining motivator to succeed in this endeavour. We encourage the public to support us by lending their solidarity with a donation to the LifeCycle fund."

People may give a monetary donation as follows: by SMS €2.33 on 5061 7378; €6.99 on 5061 8927; and €11.65 on 5061 9219.

Cheques or postal orders may be sent to LifeCycle Organisation, c/o Renal Unit, Mater Dei Hospital, Malta. Direct transfers may be made to HSBC (Malta) Account 061 198 792 050 or Bank of Valletta Account 148 14 52 1017.
