Bakers get food safety certificate

An international food safety certificate has been awarded to Golden Harvest, manufacturer of bread, confectionery and ice cream products.

Certification followed an extensive inspection and evaluation of the company's recently inaugurated facilities in San Ġwann by AIB International Inc.

Food safety auditors inspected the company's premises and operation processes, which were found to be in conformity with the BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standard for Food Safety. Golden Harvest Mfg Co. Ltd is a family-owned organisation which started off as a traditional bakery and now says it is the leading manufacturer of bakery, confectionery and ice-cream products on the island.

Golden Harvest recently moved all its operations into a state-of-the-art 14,500 square metre facility in San Ġwann, which boasts of some of the latest technological advanced baking and ice-cream making machinery.
