Last night while watching my husband sleeping peacefully, I could not help but think about what he has been through for these past four months.

Our saga started as a minor operation and has ended up with my husband having two major operations and a long stay in hospital.

So, as a form of our appreciation, I would like to thank all the staff, housemen and registrars on Surgical Ward 5 and Surgical Ward 2 for all the help and support they have given us during this rough time. All the staff were of equal help and did their best to support us and see to our needs.

In addition, special thanks go to the ITU staff for all their dedication and care.

Mater Dei Hospital is one of the finest hospitals equipped with all the latest technology, but I feel that its strongest asset is the staff working there who although under stress, persist in their dedicated care for patients.

I must not forget to thank the staff of the radiology department at Boffa Hospital and the Hospice Movement for the support and care they have shown us and continue to do so.
