Melita Sports has acquired more TV broadcasting rights for top international sporting events.

Serie A matches will be showing live and exclusively on Melita Sports, with more than 150 Serie A matches scheduled to go on air this season.

Melita Sports has also obtained rights to broadcast the Athletics Grand Prix of the International Association of Athletics Federation, being held in the UK. Fans of track and field events can follow the best and fastest athletes in the world during a live broadcast on August 31, just a few days after the Olympic Games come to an end in Beijing.

Serie A kicks off on Melita Sports on August 30 with a live broadcast of Inter vs Sampdoria at 8.30 p.m. The first Serie A match day will provide an early preview of the main contestants in the race for the Scudetto.

This season, Melita Sports is also broadcasting over 350 live Barclays Premier League games and all 125 UEFA Champions League games live and exclusive on eight dedicated Melita Sports channels.

Melita Sports will also broadcast at least 35 live games from the BoV Premier League and U*Bet FA Trophy, Malta's World Cup qualifiers, a weekly delayed football match from the Gozo Football Association 1st Division League, Gozo Futsal Tournament and 1st Division handball games.

Melita Sports is exclusively screening weekly local rugby matches and Malta's international rugby home games in association with the Malta Rugby Union. Next month, rugby fans can follow the Rugby League World Cup and thereafter, the Rugby 6 Nations Tournament, both live and exclusive on Melita Sports.
