Drug capsules found in man's stomach

The police have arrested a 24-year-old Libyan after 10 drug capsules were found in his stomach.

The man was seen acting suspiciously at the airport yesterday but a search of his luggage by policemen and Customs officers proved negative.

The capsules were revealed by X-Ray. They contained 100 grammes of heroin.

The police said they had also arrested a 28-year-old man from Zejtun after investigations showed he was trafficking drugs. The man was arrested at Qajjenza, near Birzebbuga, on Monday. He was in possession of 13 packets of cocaine and nine packets of heroin ready for trafficking.

The two men are expected to be taken to court in the coming days.
