Central Bank Deputy Governor reappointed

David A Pullicino has been reconfirmed as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Malta for a further five-year term from September 1, 008. Mr Pullicino has been Deputy Governor since July 1, 1999.

He joined the Central Bank of Malta at its inception and has been closely associated with its development over the years, having been involved in most of the operational areas of the bank.

He is a member of the Executive Management Committee, the Investments Policy Committee and the Audit Committee of the bank and was closely involved in the strategy for the bank’s eventual integration into the European System of Central Banks and Malta’s adoption of the euro. He sits on the International Relations Committee of the European Central Bank.

Mr David A Pullicino FCIB has been reconfirmed as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Malta under the Central Bank of Malta Act for a further five-year term with effect from 1 September 2008. Mr Pullicino has been Deputy Governor since 1 July 1999.
