Fontana musician recognised
Stephanie Pavia has won this year's Golden Palm award sponsored by the San Lawrenz Cultural Centre.
The award provides an incentive for young Gozitans to distinguish themselves on the music scene.
Ms Pavia, from Fontana, started training in violin and music theory under the direction of Sunny Galea and Marcelline Agius.
Last year, she obtained an Associate Diploma from Trinity College in London.
She is one of the founding members of the Gozo Youth Orchestra and is a full-time musician with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
