Five winners who participated in the Green Dot competition were recently presented prizes by Green Pak . The Green Dot competition, which ran for eight weeks, formed part of Green Pak's campaign, aimed at creating awareness on the significance of the Green Dot mark.
The Green Dot competition was launched during the Earth Garden festival on May 10 and was popularly received. During the festival, consumers were informed on how Green Dot-marked products help reduce waste going to landfill. Free products supported by Colgate were also given out to participants during the event.
The Green Dot competition followed also in schools, through a Theatre in Education tour organised by Curtain Raiser. The tour called 'Mr Lizard and Little Shrew' was partially sponsored by Green Pak and tackled bullying, global warming and recycling.
Green Gary - GreenPak's mascot - gave information on the importance of recycling and the significance of the Green Dot symbol. The public was asked to name the Green Pak mascot via SMS. The prizes given out by sponsors and Green Pak included Fuji digital cameras and Canon photo printers.
