Malaysia is the fifth country where the European Institute of Education (EIE) has started offering its degree courses. EIE, based in Ta' Xbiex, already has branches in the UK, the Czech Republic and Georgia, and two further centres will open in Vietnam and North America later this year.
EIE Malaysia is a joint venture between EIE International and PCT, a Malaysian state-approved institution based in Selangor state, which surrounds the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. It will be operating as a business school, offering management programmes in English to Malaysian and international students.
EIE International president Antonello Cappitta attended the centre's inauguration and presented the letter of appointment to the centre's head, Dr Syed Waseem.
