Hibs' build-up to the 2008/09 Premier League campaign suffered a blow this week with the news that striker Andrew Cohen has been ruled out for two months with trouble in his groin.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury while practising at Ta' Qali on Tuesday during the national squad's final session before leaving for a training camp in Estonia.

Initial tests confirmed Hibs' worst fears that Cohen had teared his groin muscle and will now almost certainly be ruled out till mid-October.

Meanwhile, Hibs allowed midfielder Pablo Doffo to start training with Floriana despite the two Premier League clubs yet to reach an agreement.

At the moment, the Argentine is the only overseas player on the books of Hibs after Cameroon midfielder Abade Fish and Nigerian Edafe Uzeh were not retained.
