A 22-year-old man yesterday pleaded guilty to handling stolen property and relapsing on August 6 in Paceville.

Priviledge Mupimhidzi from St Pauls Bay admitted to handling a camera stolen from Footloose Bar in Paceville.

Earlier this week, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl had pleaded guilty to stealing a handbag containing the camera and other items, worth more than €2,200, from the same bar.

Yesterday, before magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera, Mr Mupimhidzi also admitted to committing a crime within the operative period of a suspended sentence.

Magistrate Scerri Herrera remanded Mr Mupimhidzi in custody until sentencing in two weeks.

Police Inspector Bernard Spiteri prosecuted.

Lawyer Martin Fenech appeared as legal aid to the man.
