Vandals target Gozo councillor

Vandals targeted a vehicle owned by Labour Party local councillor Żebbuġ (Gozo), Victor Refalo, causing damage amounting to almost €1,000, he told the Times.

Mr Refalo said he had been the target of vandalism for the past month. In this attack, the mirrors of his Opel were broken and obscene words were written in red paint all over his car. The car was parked in front of his residence in Marsalforn.

The Local Council Association yesterday condemned the vandalism, urging the authorities to take all necessary steps to identify and bring the vandals to justice.

The Labour Party and Nationalist Party also expressed their solidarity with Mr Refalo and condemned the incident.
