Heritage organisation Din l-Art Ħelwa in collaboration with the Naxxar local council has published a booklet entitled Naxxar - Four Walks To Discover A Village as part of a series of illustrated booklets covering historic trails around the island's towns and rural villages.

The first three walks start at the village square and take the reader through the main streets and picturesque alleys towards the old small hamlet of San Pawl Tat-Tarġa and the cart ruts.

The fourth walk starts from Burmarrad church to the countryside, leading to Tal-Qadi temple, the Salina catacombs and towards Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.

Copies of the booklet sell at €2.50 and are obtainable from the offices of the Naxxar local council and Din l-Art Ħelwa's offices at 133, Melita Street, Valletta.

This is the fourth such booklet published by Din l-Art Ħelwa as part of its educational programme to raise awareness on local heritage and the environment.

Working closely with other local councils, the other booklets cover Mqabba, Birżebbuġa and Vittoriosa.

Next to be published are booklets on Għargħur and Għadira.
