Slight rise in traffic accidents
The number of traffic accidents reached 4,037 in the second quarter of this year, an increase of 37 compared to the same quarter last year, the National Statistics Office (NSO) said yesterday.
The main concentration of accidents occurred in the northern harbour area, reaching 1,565 cases (38.4 per cent of the total).
A total of 313 casualties were reported, with 40 per cent of them occurring on the weekends. Three drivers were killed and 194 drivers sustained injuries.
The largest number of casualties was in the 25-39 age group.
The NSO said that 76 per cent of the casualties were caused by passenger cars, while 14.4 per cent were caused by motorcycles.

Is not the ADT Consultant (God) of ADT not around to give us more proof that his consultancy is reducing accidents? Where is the reduction of accidents? the evidence speaks for itself. He should retire gracefully before any more of his ingenious consultations are put into action. At the age of over 70 he should enjoy life with his loved ones, or is the 'feeling important; ADT cannot do without ME' prowess more important!

Using the same yardstick used with hunters, The GonziPN Government should ban driving during weekends as well as in the northern harbour area!!

"The NSO said that 76 per cent of the casualties were caused by passenger cars, while 14.4 per cent were caused by motorcycles."
Excuse me- passenger cars and motorcycles CAUSE accidents? Isn't it the drivers that cause accidents?
