A 16-year-old girl is off the danger list after she was critically injured in a fall down a shaft in Paceville three days ago, a police spokesman said yesterday.

The girl, a foreigner, was found at the bottom of the shaft, adjacent to the Bernard Hotel in Triq Santu Wistin, on Sunday morning.

She was immediately rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where her condition subsequently improved.

A magisterial inquiry is under way.
