A raid on a Paceville establishment yielded 1,200 cigarettes and 31 bottles of alcoholic beverages on which no tax had been paid.

In a statement, the Customs Department said the owner of the establishment failed to produce documents proving the purchase of the items.

The cigarettes and alcohol were confiscated and further investigations are being conducted.
