Members of the Gymstars Club recently left their mark when participating in international competitions outside our shores.
Six girls, who form part of the national team, returned home from a competition in Holland with a gold medal and a silver one to continue their build-up for next year's Games of the Small States of Europe in Cyprus.
Mia Vickery, Tara Dalli and Adrianna Zammit were in the first team that clinched top spot while the second team was made up of Martina Galea, Kirsty Caruana and Nicole Pace.
All girls performed excellently under the watchful eyes of coaches Plamen Angelov Peynov and Antonina Uzunova. The girls also produced fine displays in individual competition.
Also in the past few weeks, another group from the Gymstars Gymnastics Club travelled to Newcastle, England, for the international Teamgym competition.
The squad, consisting of 10 girls, competed against 29 other teams.
Gymstars were crowned champions in the floor exercise to establish themselves among the main contenders for the European Championships this year in Ghent, Belgium.
