Two teenagers, a boy of 16 and a girl of 15, this morning pleaded guilty before a court to having stolen a handbag containing €90 in cash, a mobile phone worth €480, a digital camera worth €810, a second mobile phone worth €350 and an MP3 player worth €480.

The theft took place at Footloose in Paceville between Wednesday and Thursday last week to the detriment of Svetlana Kirillina and Irina Popova.

Police Inspector Bernard Spiteri told the court that the boy is now in prison for violating bail conditions on that night. The girl was granted bail against a personal gaurantee of €1,000 until sentencing tomorrow.
