Crane topples over, concrete block crashes onto cars
A block of concrete fell on two cars this morning when a crane toppled over in High Street, Qormi.
The incident happened at around 10 a.m.
The crame came to rest against the facade of a residence. No one was injured.
The police are investigating.

The intimidating action of the person in charge is to be condemned. It is about time that this country rid itself of these pseudo-machos who think that they are above the law, either due to their 'physique' or to their tempers or to the connections that they might have. Enough is enough!
As far as I know cranes (an uglifying eyesore) are a temporary thing. Once the work is ready, it will have to be dismantled
@P Debono, most of these seem to employ foreigners, so it will not be such an impact on the employment.
Fortunately, this 'demolish-rebuilt' craze seem to have dwindled.
Do you still see open air chasing taking place with dust blown with the wind?
Do you still see overloaded trucks forming a trail of gravel in the roads?
Do you still see people of building sites with no safety equipment?
Do you still see building sites with no information stuck on the front with all the relevant details that have to be there for all to see?
Do you still see sites which have not been boarded off with the famous 7 courses?
