Bupa (Malta) has concluded a number of agreements with private medical services providers. Under the agreements, members benefit from easier access to private medical care, direct settlement of bills, and agreed rates for services.
Direct bill settlement means patients are able to focus on their well-being, while the service providers benefit from prompt cash flow and reduced administrative costs; agreed rates for services helps their business development planning.
"Bupa provides cover for customary and reasonable charges incurred by our members who seek private medical care, irrespective of where the private care is administered, in line with the level of cover purchased," Adriana Zarb Adami, registered agent and Bupa Malta manager explained.
"In essence, these agreements provide a framework to simplify payment transactions by eliminating administrative burdens for our members and creating a direct payment channel between the insurer and the private providers.
"Bupa operates in 190 countries around the world and is committed to offering cost-effective and affordable choices in private health care," Mrs Zarb Adami added.
"We strive to work with all those who share this commitment, while looking forward to concluding more agreements with other providers of medical services."
