Western officials to seek ceasefire in Georgia - UK
A combined delegation of EU, US and NATO officials are travelling to Georgia to seek to broker a ceasefire in the conflict in Georgia's rebel South Ossetia region, Britain's Defence Secretary Des Browne said today.
"This evening a delegation of US, EU, OSCE and NATO officials will be going to Georgia to try to broker a ceasefire," he said on Sky television, referring to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
